| This site was created as a Writing Project to
help us put together all that we have learned about living with individuals
close to us with Aspergers Syndrome. We have found local resources that we felt
that we wanted to share with others. We also are interested in setting up a site
that would be used by people who would like to connect with others.
We have many other interests as well. Life is never just about one thing. We may do other things with this web site in the future but for now, we are interested in putting together what we know about Aspergers. This is our way to help the cause. Stay tuned as we put into reality something that started out as a dream. Who we are: |
Rainbow![]() I am a wife and also mother of a fifteen years old boy. We have been living in Canada as immigrants for the last seven years. My son is a gifted boy with a touch of Asperger Syndrome. He has been diagnosed when he was seven. Since then I've been gathering information about this Syndrome and trying to help my son anyway I could. It is such a joy to see the result of my efforts in him day after day. As parents we can share our knowledge and experience with each other. Together we can help our children live a better life. |
Ducky![]() As an elementary school teacher, I have been able to see the development of children over the years and the process has always fascinated me. By grade four, every class is full of students who are showing the adult-to-be. People are so fascinating and all are different. What has interested me is the fact that in the last 15 years or so, I have seen and taught more students who have demonstrated behaviours that are associated with Aspergers. There have always been students who "march to the beat of a different drummer" but the question is - Is there an increase? and if so Why? and How can we help students help themselves live in a world that is not in tune with their own rhythm? These are the questions that I would like to help explore in this web site.
